Before joining the University of Pittsburgh in 2022, I received a BA in Ancient Greek and Portuguese and a master’s degree in Classics from the University of Sao Paulo. My thesis consisted of a translation and commentary on Aristoxenus of Tarentum’s Elementa Harmonica. My main research interests are Ancient Greek music, Ancient Philosophy (especially the Peripatetics), Ancient aesthetics, literary criticism, and the development of Ancient sciences, especially the technai.
